About I Cut It FS
Jerry Silcox
Owner of I Cut It Foundation Solutions Inc
Started specializing in egress window installations in January 2022 and also renovations for many years.
We cut existing basement windows into larger windows or doors. We also open permits, have BCIN designers, and in most cases can add a window or door to wherever you would like one cut into your basement foundation.
People call us for our expertise in Egress Window Installations (1 to 3 days to install) as we perform many tasks which would require others to hire subcontractors which results in a lengthier process.
WE:
Excavate the window well
Hang window wells
Cut foundations and remove concrete off-site
Frame openings and structural framing when required
Install windows and doors
Hang drywall, tape, mud, sand and painting if required
Bore drainage tile
Backfill and remove excess soil off-site
Parge foundations
Install steel lintels in bricked homes
Demolition and re-frame interior walls
HVAC, Electrical and plumbing all done by licensed contractors

I chose this field as I saw a need for more basement bedrooms with the rising house costs not allowing kids to move out of their parents' house or people moving back home from having to walk away from overpriced homes with mortgages unrealistic for anyone to afford.
I also chose this field as many window companies don't do egress window installations.
I love my job. Every home is a bit different from each other. Making it hard to set a base price as there are so many variables.
Mainly work in residential, farming, and light commercial.
No dust. Saws use water. Sometimes openings require a slight grinding, but we hang a bladder on the inside of the foundation wall to catch the water/dust/debris from the cutting and removal of the concrete process.
Have done many successful installations in finished basements with carpet floors and pool tables next to openings being worked on. I take pride in our system to keeping your basement as clean as possible throughout our installation process. I always aim to make the installed door or window to look like it was installed back when the house was built!
